As part of a long-term collaboration, Scenic World has been transformed through a comprehensive site masterplan, delivered in multiple award-winning stages. The site now features an additional ride with a Cableway to the valley floor, seamlessly connecting with the rainforest boardwalk.

Both the Skyway and Railway rides were upgraded with new engineering and equipment, while retail, dining, and visitor facilities were modernised to enhance the overall guest experience.

“Wherever possible we have seized the opportunity to reinforce the essence of “being on the edge”, through planning and placement of structure, height and views.”

Peter Doddrell, Former Director

The design responds to a diverse range of visitors, creating an intuitive and legible environment that minimises reliance on signage. More than accommodating functional requirements, the approach considers the broader context — respecting the natural environment, supporting staff operations throughout the upgrades, and acknowledging neighbouring interfaces.

At Scenic World, the project brings together the qualities of the natural landscape and the industrious character of the site, creating a distinctive and memorable experience. This synthesis reinforces a strong sense of place, offering visitors an environment that resonates beyond their time on site.
