After 25 years in Crows Nest, the growth, success and evolution of PMDL’s Sydney studio prompted its relocation to new premises in North Sydney.

Arrival on Level 17 brings staff and visitors into the studio’s social heart — the ‘living room’. This central space is designed to support social gatherings, professional learning, collaborative group work and moments of quiet reflection, all enriched by expansive views across Sydney Harbour.

Guided by a shift from individual to communal space, the design places collaboration at its core. The open-plan workplace is organised around a central maker space, complemented by quiet nooks, meeting hubs and breakout zones that offer a range of flexible work settings.

A palette of natural, warm materials provides an understated and neutral backdrop, allowing the outlook to take prominence while fostering a bright, relaxed and welcoming studio environment.
