The Innovation Precinct at Sacred Heart College represents the first stage of a broader masterplan, designed to elevate STEAM learning and teaching across the campus. The building provides a transparent and welcoming interface with the wider community, featuring light-filled interiors, stained glass highlights, a central atrium, and an accessible, landscaped setting that connects seamlessly to surrounding spaces.

Spanning two levels, the precinct offers dedicated areas for students to create, construct, collaborate and explore. Flexible learning spaces accommodate science, technology, art and general learning, with operable partitions and visual transparency promoting adaptability and engagement.

Breakout areas cluster around a generous central activity spine, enhanced by voids that provide visual connection between levels and encourage exploration and interaction.

Positioned along an active campus spine, the building reinforces connections across the school while establishing a clear architectural identity. Its scale, materiality and openness invite both students and staff to engage with the space, supporting creativity, collaboration and a sense of community.

Through its considered planning, transparency and integration with the landscape, the Innovation Precinct embodies a forward-looking approach to contemporary education—balancing functional flexibility with inspirational design.
