A legacy project by McGlashan Everist.

McGlashan Everist’s enduring collaboration has shaped the evolution of the Lumen Christi campus over five stages and more than two decades, transforming the site from its greenfield origins into a cohesive and established learning environment. The most recent Stage 5 project, completed in 2023, responds to sustained enrolment growth from surrounding residential areas and reinforces the campus’s long-term masterplanning framework.

Stage 5 introduces a double-storey building that consolidates the school’s civic and administrative functions at ground level. A clearly articulated entry sequence leads to reception and administration spaces, senior staff offices, meeting rooms, visiting specialist areas, staff work and training spaces, kitchen and dining facilities, along with supporting amenities, storage and first aid. Together, these functions establish a welcoming and highly functional public face for the campus.

The upper level accommodates eight permanent general learning areas arranged in paired configurations with operable walls, enabling flexibility between independent and collaborative teaching modes.

These spaces are linked by a generous circulation spine that operates as an interconnected sequence of informal learning areas, supporting contemporary pedagogical practices and adaptable use throughout the school day.

Architecturally, the building’s form, scale and materiality respond directly to the adjacent multi-purpose sports hall, employing durable, low-maintenance materials and a regular structural grid. Exposed structural elements express this rhythm, reinforcing clarity, legibility and a robust architectural identity that integrates seamlessly within the broader campus context.
