Celebrating 30 Years of Excellence: PMDL Announces Major Leadership Updates
As we celebrate PMDL Architecture & Design’s 30-year anniversary, we are proud to mark the occasion with a series of significant promotions and additions to our leadership team across Sydney, Melbourne, and Hong Kong.
Reflecting on 30 years of practice, founding director Andrew Pender said: “It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. The strength and quality of the relationships we enjoy with our team and our clients is particularly gratifying.”
Fellow founding director, David Morris, also comments: “It has been a privilege to witness over the years, the evolution of our design services in terms of applied creative expertise and approach to innovation. We never envisaged that our work would be delivered internationally which we believe is the result of a quality culture and resilient team.”
PMDL is delighted to announce that Caio Peculis, based in Sydney, has been appointed a Director of the practice, and both he and Alison Wheeler, leading our Victorian Studios, have taken up offers of equity in the business.
Josh Bell, Sue Cai, Rachael Drayton, Stephanie Hope, Olga Mladenovic, Gayatri Sawe (Sydney) and John Rice (Melbourne) have been promoted to the role of Senior Associate. Several members of this cohort have also taken a shareholding in the business as we expand ownership for the benefit of the Practice and our leadership team.
Amgad Sedrak (Sydney), Devon Osborne (Melbourne) and Jay James (Hong Kong) have been appointed as Associates.
Vicki van Dijk, Practice Director, will also step into the role of Managing Partner, allowing Andrew Pender to return to a client and project facing role.
Vicki remarks: “Stepping into Managing Partner, I thank Andrew for his success in the role, building a solid foundation of leadership. I ‘m excited to lead our ‘home grown’ talent into a new era, empowering them to contribute to the direction of the Practice with youthful enthusiasm, relevancy and innovation guided by the wisdom of the Practice directors.”
